What is the purpose of the LAN map?

The LAN map serves to provide an easy and fast way to locate a LAN center near you, no matter where you are. The ILANCA LAN map is the most comprehensive listing of LAN centers on the web, because it's powered by all of you!

Why isn't _____ LAN center listed?

We do our best to keep the map up to date and current, but we can only do so much. All of our staff are volunteers, and they only have so much time in their day to contribute to the upkeep of the map. If you have an addition, please feel free to add it yourself! (see below)

Can I add a LAN center to the map?

Anyone can add or edit a listing on the map. First you need to register an account with ILANCA.org. You can register here Once you are registered, you can add or edit any listing on the map. Go here to add a new listing. Or find the listing for the center you're looking for, and click it's edit link.

I added a LAN center, why doesn't it show up?

Any new submissions require approval before they will appear on the map for everyone to see. Any moderator or administrator on the site can approve a listing. Most submissions are approved within a day, after basic information is verified to be true (website url, phone number).

What does it mean if a LAN center is "active"?

An "active" LAN center is one that is currently operating and open for business. An "inactive" LAN center is one that has gone out of business, and is no longer open.
